Well ill apologise for not keeping you guys updated with my show prep. About 3 weeks ago I managed to get a Mr Olympia 2009 press pass! So ive had to put winning the finals on hold as there is no way I could diet in Las Veags!
So im off to shoot the entire show and have lined up some shoots in Golds Gym East!
You will see the results in Flex!

So its just over 12 weeks to the NPA finals so im back into a more structured diet. Its been nice these last six weeks not getting up at 430am
and having a bit more of a life outside bodybuilding. But i know that if i want to win that title i have to get back to being super milatry with my daily schedule.
Training is going well and im nice and full, i would have like to try and stay leaner after the yorkshire show but i think my body was fighting against it..the rest has done me good.
My diet has been ok and i reckon im about 14lb from where i want to be. I reckon by then end of next week ill drop 4lb no problem.
My diet is basically the same, synergy/mackeral etc then synergy, wired pre workout. Ive also been using Pharma Blend at night (which i love and could have this all day!)
So from Monday its back on!

Well im happy to say I won my class (masters) last Sunday at the NPA Yorkshire show. It was a class of 13 competitors so was nice to mix it up in a large class..
Im trying my hardest not to go mad and eat laods of food..so since tuesday ive been having brazil nuts and pharma whey/blend so i dont put do much on.
The venue was great and the weekend was fantastic..
Here are some of the better pics from the show..

So 2 days to go and im back on stage this time for the NPA Yorkshire. Again in the Masters >40s with a view to joining the team for the UIBBN Euros champs.
I feel im in better condition than the NABBA show as i feel all i needed to do was to get my lower back, hams and glutes tighter without sacrificing upper body size. Sunday we will see if all the hard work has paid off.
Going by what has been said on the forums this qualifer will be an amazing day and im soooo looking foward to it (and some food after!)
Anyway hope to see some of you and if you go come and say hi!
Thanks again to Jason at PhD for supporting me!

So its 10 days and counting to my next show..NPA Yourkshire. Ive choosen these show as there is a possibility of getting and ivite to the UIBBN Euros 2 weeks later. Ive never competed in the Yorkshire show. I have competed at most top NPA/ANB Shows including the Pro-Am/UK Finals/GB Finals/Euros and Worlds..So doint the Yorkshire will be a nice addition.
As for how i think i look, well then main inprovement from the photos below is my glute ham condition as i personnally thought my upper body was in good balance in terms of condition and size.
As the Yorkshire show is a good 4 hr drive ill be going up the day before and staying the the designated hotel for 2 nights (sat and sun)..which will be less stressfull.
At the moment i weighing around 80.9kg and reckon ill go down to around 79kg before carbing up. This show will also be my first in the NPA as a Master. This year the NPA dropped the masters age limit from 43 to 40 so this will be good for me.
Hope to see some of you at the show

So got 2nd a bit gutted but thats bodybuilding we have to take it on the chin…learn from it and move on. I have 4 weeks to the NPA Yorkshire and im going all out for the overall. I know the changes i have to make to my run up prep and ill make sure i nail every pose (something which i didnt do).
Here are some pics from the show.

So today is the day before my first show of the year. Im competing in the NABBA South East at the Beck Theatre.
This will be my first competition in NABBA and my first as a Master
Yes im entering the >40s class.
All has gone very well and im looking exactly how i wanted do. My diet has been very constant as has my cardio.
PhD supplements and the Team have been a major part of my contest prep and i would like to give a special mention to Jason not only for letting me be part of the PhD Endorsed Team but as always being a friend. He is always at the end of the phone to chat about training and life in general which is a very important part of my prep etc.
Ive been fortunate to be able to use any of the PhD range for this show. PhD Synergy ISO-7 has been a major part of my contest prep and will always be. Ive also been using the new PhD Pharma Blend as my nightime nutrition. PhD Pharam Blend is simply pure class and i encourage everyone to have it as part of there daily nutrition.
All thats left for me is to carrying on carbing up (which im doing very slowly) then followed by some steak tonight.
The show tommorow is of the run through type..so its starts at 1600, i reckon ill be on around 1700.
Anyway better go as my rice has just finished cooking!
Thanks again and ill update as soon as a can.

So 8 weeks to go and things are shaping up nicely…im actally training everyday but only training one bodypart at each workout..so today im doing just triceps.
My first show is the NABBA SE Mayt 2nd in Hayes Middx and ill be entering the >40s.
Here are some pics after saturdays workout,

Diet hasnt changed so nothing to report there..
Ill try and blog more this week..

So im well into my diet and im proper looking like im competing. Its funny when you are natural as you tent to drop a lot of water once you diet and this make you look like you lost a ton of weight. When i started my diet on Jan 1st i was around 94kg today i weighed in at 83kg that’s 11kg dropped in 10odd weeks. From now on i probably be lucky to loose .5lb a week as the main work now is to get that granite look which i personally think can only be achieved through staying in this sort of condition for 8+ weeks.
Training is going well and this week ive switched things up just to give me a break from the norm.
So I incorporated some German Volume Training (GVT), which basically means i exercise for 10 sets of 10 reps. Here is what i did for each body part.
Quads: 10 X 10 Front Squats
Hams: 10 X 10 Seated Leg Curls
Back: 10X 10 Bent over rowing
Shoulders: 10 X 10 Olympic bar press
Bicep: 10 X 10 Olympic Barbell Curls
Triceps: 10 X 10 French Press on a 45 incline bench
Chest: 10 X 10 Incline Barbell Press
Calves: 10 X 10 seated calve press.
Try GVT out once you get to set 7 you will be wishing you hadn’t started J
Diet has remained the same as normal but ive started added 60g basmati rice with meal 2 and 5 and put some extra virgin olive oil in each meal. Essential Fatty Acids are needed to maintain health hair nails and skin (something which suffers on most diets)
Here is a pic taken last Saturday!

Another week goes by!
And all is going very well indeed. This week i felt my body really getting into shape and dieting has become auto-pilot like.
Had a fantastic Hamstring workout today..i did something different from my normal ham curls and Romanian dumbbell deadlift routine..here is what i did:
1. 3 sets of seating ham curl 6 reps really squeezing and hold it rep
2. 3 sets adductor
3. 3 sets Box Squats..2 plates a side for 12 reps..i really like this movement
4. 3 sets standing alternate leg curl.
As you can see its more sets than i normally do but i like to mix things up every now and then.
Ive also been doing alot of photography lately and have done shoots for James Llewellin (which was used in Flex and more shots in the next coming months) Shaun Tavernier and Kamal Elgarin… From these photo shoots i proud to announce i am now an official Flex Magazine Photo Shoot and Official Flex Magazine UKBFF Shows photographer! Watch out for more of my pictures appearing not only in Flex but Musclemag and Bodyfitness!
Here are a couple of the shots..
